9 weeks old today!

I’ve joined a few pregnancy websites like ParentsConnect and BabyCenter so I can follow your progress as you grow. I’m also learning from other moms different ways to handle pregnancy and parenting. It’s interesting how many different opinions there are about parenting, but what I love the most are those who are considerate to others as much as they are to their babies.

Hello little wonderful,
When I saw this photo, it made me realize how much my love I have for life right now. I love being pregnant right now! I love love love it! I love having life growing inside me and knowing that you and I are bonding. When I think about you, I get chills. I can’t wait to hold you in my arms. There are times I’m convinced that once you’re in my arms, I’ll simply burst into tears. You are such a miracle.

Hello my little chef,
One of the things daddy and I like to do in the kitchen is make our own bread! That’s right, we get out the flour, yeast, water, salt, and sometimes oil depending on the recipe. We use our rolling pins on the baking mat and make loaves of bread, sometimes pizza dough, and other times soft, delicious rolls!

Hello little love,

You turn 8 weeks old today in my belly and every day I’m convinced I can feel you more and more. The first thing I do when I wake up in the morning… is touch my womb to see if I can feel anything. I know it might sound weird, but sometimes I get so “connected” to you that I start vomiting. It’s like I have so much to be happy about that it becomes overwhelming. The morning sickness comes not only in the morning but all hours of the day. Right now I have the nose of a dog which means I can smell things from very very far away. Most of the time it sends my stomach on the warpath, so I’ve been getting a lot of bedrest lately.

I love being pregnant

Dear sweet child of mine,

Charles Dickens once said, “Every baby born into the world is a finer one than the last.” In today’s society with more advanced technologies and stronger opportunities for financial success and personal freedoms, it can be easy to agree with that.

And Elizabeth Stone says, “Making the decision to have a child–It’s momentous. It is to decide forever to have your heart go walking around outside your body.” Wow, that is most definitely a unique way of looking at that…

I’m already so emotional… you are a miracle and not a day goes by where I don’t rub my belly, talk to you, sing to you, and hope you’ll be the happiest human that’s ever lived…. and after you’ve achieved the level of happiness you can sustain… please share your secret with me.

Love
Mommy
