Hello little love of my life,
I’ve been a big fan of eMusic where I get to download different songs from all over the world from independent musicians. I download about 300 songs per month from every possible genre and then put them all on my ipod to play music for you every night. Sometimes I play Hawaiian music, world or trance music, indie soft rock and roll, latin guitar, Bulgarian world music, Bob Marley’s reggae, and all sorts of cultural music from all over the world! It’s so important to me that you come into the world with as much variety as possible so you can discover your own favorites and eclectic tastes. Mommy and Daddy both love music very much and listen to it every single day. Just about every type of music there is - we like it… especially when it’s creative and comes from the heart.

A few months ago, I started taking piano lessons with a jazz teacher who is teaching me how to “play by ear.” It’s funny, I actually signed up for lessons just a week after you were conceived and I didn’t know I was pregnant yet! I’ve wanted to play piano my WHOLE life and it is my dream to learn it well enough to play some songs for you and possibly even teach you a few notes. I wonder if you’ll be interested in playing any instruments. Drumming is cool, so is guitar and violin! One of these days, if you ever want to play an instrument, just tell me and daddy and we’ll work it out. It takes a lot of hard work and practice, but I’m convinced you’ll pick it right up!

Daddy has been listening to jazz all week when he’s on the computer. I’ve been teaching him the difference between “good jazz” and “elevator music.” We’ ve had lots of funny conversations about it, and you’ve been with us the whole time…
